This interactive session will engage students directly with members from the National Czech and Slovak Museum in Cedar Rapids, along with individuals from the Catherin McKauly Center for Refugees. They will explore the history of immigration in Iowa, specifically looking at trends and patterns that repeat over time. A focus on empathy, civil rights, civil liberties, law, agriculture, and cultural understanding will be included in the discussion.
